Our Team

Jim and his wife Kelly have been married for 26 years and have two wonderful children, Hailey and Drew. In his spare time he is very active, participating in triathlons and marathons culminating in the running of the 2006 Boston Marathon, 2009 New York Marathon, 2014 World Triathlon Championships in Edmonton, and 2017 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

Since 1994 Jim Greenwood has been dedicated to helping families, individuals and business owners create a comfortable financial plan to help them achieve their goals. Jim and his team strive to simplify the often complex financial situations that arise throughout one’s life.

Jim achieved the Certified Financial Planner designation in 1998 and has continued his education throughout his career. Most recently he has transitioned to IPC Securities and is now licensed under the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada and is the managing partner of BlueSky Financial Planning.

Jim uses his 26 years of practical experience, leading edge ideas from continued coaching, and the expertise of his team and network of specialists to provide an exceptional level of customer service that is focused on the client’s unique story.

Cory is a diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Like every year, he believes this year is their year! He grew up in Ontario, not far from Hamilton and was traditionally a Tie Cat fan. He and his wife Abby have fully converted to Rider Nation and love going to the games in their Green and White. Cory and Abby live out at Pasqua lake and enjoy water sports and love the lake life community out there. He plays hockey in Fort Qu'Appelle and plays a lot of golf in the summer.

Cory began his career in the investment industry 13 years ago at Invesco Trimark. He worked with financial planning programs to help advisors create plans for their clients. Cory then joined Investment Planning Counsel (IPC) Head Office in January 2012. Before joining the team here at BlueSky, Cory was a Relationship Manager at IPC for Western Canada, helping advisor offices across the Prairies. Cory is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM). He has an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He has completed the Canadian Securities Course, the Wealth Management Essentials course, the Investment Funds Institute of Canada Operations Course, the Canadian Investment Funds Course and Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.

Sahar is married to Stephen Galbraith; they have one son and another on the way. Since moving to Regina, she has taken pride in becoming a Rider fan! She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and traveling.

Sahar joined Blue Sky Financial Planning team after moving to Regina in 2011. She obtained her Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) in 2015, the Canada’s Canadian Investment Funds Course in 2016 and the Canadian Securities Course in 2019 to further her knowledge and to provide more value to our clients. Sahar is always striving to provide a unique experience for all our clients.

In her spare time, Hailey likes to go for walks with her dog and hangout with family and friends. She is often found singing and dancing around the office.

Hailey is the newest member to the BlueSky team. She joined the team in 2017 after graduating from the Finance program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Hailey is one of 3 client experience specialists on our team and enjoys interacting with clients and ensuring an incomparable experience.

Tammy joined the BlueSky Financial Planning Team in 2010 with over fifteen years of experience in the financial services industry. Successfully completing the Canadian Investment Funds course in 2012, Tammy uses her experience, knowledge, and attention to detail to ensure an unforgettable client experience. Tammy is our team’s sports fanatic. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, watching sports, and cooking with her husband Randy and two children Cole and Emily.
